Two Different
Roles Require Different Logins
This week’s
column examines a topic that can be confusing for members as they transition to
the online community. As our members
know, The Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association is actually an association of
funeral
homes primarily, with their employee funeral directors secondarily. The online community, WFDA.ORG, reflects that
distinction through the use of two different member types, the Funeral Home and the Funeral Director. Although it may not be obvious to the
individual online community member, these member types serve a very important
purpose, separating the needs and data of the funeral home from that of the funeral
director.
For example,
a funeral home owner will be
concerned about membership renewal, their participation in the WI Funeral Trust
and future capabilities relating to the sale and management of the Requia Life
insurance products. On the other hand, funeral directors are concerned about
managing their professional development, looking for new career opportunities,
and connecting socially with each other.
Who logs in as a funeral home?
The funeral home owner or their point of
contact logs in as the funeral home.
Why would I want to log in as a funeral home?
If you want
to post job openings, renew your funeral
home’s membership in the association, or check on your funeral home’s WI Funeral Trust information.
Who logs in as a funeral director?
Anyone who is
a licensed funeral director and
employee or owner of a WFDA member funeral
home.
Why would I want to log in as a funeral director?
If you want
to sign up for a WFDA event like convention, sign-up and pay for online CEs,
manage your CEs, post your resume, post pictures from the last WFDA event you
participated in, connect with friends from the association and more.
How do I login as a funeral home or funeral director?
Login is the
same, the important thing to remember is your username and password. If you are a funeral home owner, you will have two different usernames and
passwords, one for your role as a funeral
home owner and the other as a person who is a funeral director. If you are
a funeral home employee and a funeral director, but not an owner, you
will only need to manage one username and password.
What do I do
if I forget my password?
